About Me
After graduating from Brown University with a creative writing degree, I moved to the Bay Area to work for a large tech company in strategy, operations, and management, moving to New York City along the way. I'm grateful I was able to work with so many different cultures globally and see a lot of the world during this time.
I didn't want to remain in the corporate world forever, so I changed careers to focus on mental health, receiving my graduate education at the City University of New York at the Silberman School.
Since then, I've worked with families and children at Children's Aid, college students at New York University, and many adults, couples, and children in private practice. I currently reside in New Jersey with my partner and dog.
About My Work
People tend to perceive me as open-minded, reliable, smart, and curious. I am very committed to the work I do. I like getting feedback and don't tend to take it personally, so I appreciate when clients tell me what's working and what's not, and when I'm getting it wrong. I love reading as a way to learn and grow, and speaking with others in the mental health field. I seek out clinical support as needed.
I'm trained and experienced in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Internal Family Systems / Part work (IFS) for working with trauma, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) for stabilization and emotional regulation, and Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) for OCD symptoms. I typically use a mix of cognitive, experiential, and somatic interventions during sessions.
I work with adults, couples, and teenagers. My specialties include trauma, neurodivergence (autism (ASD), persistent demand avoidance (PDA), and ADHD), relationships, and life transitions.
I am in-network with Wellfleet and Aetna’s NYU student plan insurance. Many clients are able to utilize out-of-network benefits and receive reimbursement for 70% or more of the session cost. Sessions with individuals are $175, and sessions with couples are $225 (55 minutes). I work virtually and in-person with New York state residents, and offer a complimentary phone consultation for any prospective clients.
